Cabfind.com nominated for Investment of the Year award10 August 2016
Cabfind.com has been shortlisted in the Wirral Business Awards, in the Investment of the Year category.
The Investment of the Year award recognises organisations that have made a significant and beneficial investment within Wirral in 2015.
With the backing of Transdev, Cabfind.com implemented an investment programme into the development of technological innovations within the business. The investment has already had a direct impact on job creation in Wirral, seeing a 15% growth in the Cabfind.com team since 2014, enticing tech and programming talent to the region.
Chris Jordan, managing director of Cabfind.com, said:
“2015 was a transformative year for Cabfind.com. We were wholly acquired by one of the world’s largest transport operators, Transdev. The investment and support received by our parent company has allowed Cabfind.com to realise its accelerated growth potential and become involved in much wider tender opportunities. This has had a direct impact on job creation in Wirral.
“The Transdev deal also attracted further investment with a Regional Growth Fund (RGF) grant to create an in house software development centre and a Business Growth Grant from Wirral Council to assist with relocation to new premises, further reinforcing our dedication to business in Wirral.”
The Wirral Business Awards, now in its 10th year, is an annual event that celebrates best practice and the positive impact local businesses make. The 2016 awards will be held on Friday, September 16.
Paula Basnett, CEO of Wirral Chamber of Commerce, said:
“Year on year the Wirral Business Awards has grown to become one of the region’s most prestigious and popular business events - this year the high quality of entrants was no exception. Reaching the final of the competition is a fantastic achievement and I congratulate Cabfnd.com, together with the other three finalists in the Investment of the Year category, and wish them all the best for the awards final in September.”
