Transdev shortlisted for Manchester Metrolink22 October 2015
Transdev has been shortlisted by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) to submit a bid to operate and maintain the Metrolink tram network. TfGM is issuing an invitation to negotiate in 2016, with the new 10 year contract commencing in July 2017 after a six month mobilisation period.
Transdev already successfully operates 22 light rail networks throughout the world, including the LUAS light rail system in Dublin which carried over 32.4 million passengers in 2014.
During the Metrolink bid Transdev will be working closely with Alstom to develop a comprehensive tram and infrastructure maintenance solution. Alstom and Transdev have an established relationship, working together to provide the highest standards of quality in Dublin with LUAS.
